4th Training of Trainers (ToT) on Nutrition Contents Incorporated in MBBS Curriculum
The 4th Training of Trainers (ToT) for Faculty of Medical Colleges on Nutrition Content Incorporated into the MBBS Curriculum was successfully conducted from 23–25 September 2026 at the Centre of Excellence for Nutrition and Child Development, Institute of Basic Medical Sciences (IBMS), Khyber Medical University (KMU). The three-day training aimed to strengthen faculty capacity and enhance their skills for the effective delivery and integration of nutrition content within the undergraduate medical curriculum.
The concluding session was chaired by Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rubina Nazli, who delivered the closing remarks and appreciated the valuable feedback, reflections, and active participation of the faculty members. Prof. Dr. Inayat Shah, Director IBMS, also shared his remarks and particularly acknowledged the dedicated efforts of faculty members from Human Nutrition, Biochemistry, and Medical Education for their continued contributions towards strengthening and advancing nutrition education within the medical curriculum.
Representatives from UNICEF also shared their reflections on the initiative and acknowledged the progress achieved through this collaborative effort. Faculty members from Bolan Medical College (BMC), Balochistan, participated in the training and shared positive feedback on KMU’s initiative, highlighting the value of the training and the importance of strengthening nutrition education as an integral component of medical education.
The successful completion of the ToT reflects KMU’s continued commitment to strengthening nutrition education, building faculty capacity, and promoting competency-based medical education, thereby supporting the effective integration of nutrition into future healthcare practice.
