Assessment Team (AT) for PhD Program of IBMS has visited the Institute on December 07, 2012. Members of the AT appreciated the progress made by IBMS in a very short span of time. They identified some corrective actions for further improvement of the PhD program.

Khyber Medical University (KMU), has conducted the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) National Examination Board (NEB) Examination for Medical and Dental foreign graduates for the year 2012 at Islamabad. VC KMU Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hafizullah, Controller of Examination KMU Prof. Dr. Shahnaz Akhtar and Registrar PM&DC Dr. Nadeem Akbar were also visited the examination halls. According to the details a total of 1924 candidates appeared in the examination in which 1271 were of MBBS Basic Sciences, 640 for MBBS Clinical and 13 for BDS in Basic and Clinical subjects.

Khyber Medical University (KMU), in collaboration with Association of Physicians of Pakistani descent of North America (APPNA) and Islamic Relief (IR-USA) has organized Hepatitis C day at Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (IPM&R), Peshawar. Prof. Dr. Shad Muhammad Director Academics and Admissions KMU was the chief guest while Renowned Physician   Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal Farooqi delivered a though provoking lecture on the issue.
