ONE DAY SEMINAR AND WORKSHOP ON BIOINFORMATICS AND COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY

Bioinformatics and Computational biology is an actual interdisciplinary field that not only applies computational method to analyze large collection of biological data but also develops different algorithms to help us in analysis. Keeping in view the importance and application of bioinformatics in the field of genetics, the seminar on the same topic was arranged by the faculty of Molecular Biology and Genetics (MBG) on 15 March 2018. Dr. Zahid Khan from Institute of Chemical Sciences delivered seminar to the faculty and students of Basic Medical Sciences at KMU.

This seminar was followed by hands on training session where the students of MBG department working with computational tools were trained for the practical application of bioinformatics tools in their research topic.
