Dr. Syed Hamid Habib

Dr Syed Hamid Habib joined Department of Physiology, Institute of Basic medical Sciences (IBMS) , Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar in June 2015 as Assistant Professor. Dr. Habib did his MBBS from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar. He completed his PhD in Physiology from University of Glasgow, United Kingdom in 2015. He has worked with Spinal Cord group, Institute of Neuroscience & Psychology, University of Glasgow. He worked under the supervision of Dr. John Riddell, who is a renowned neuroscientist and has special interest in electrophysiology of Spinal circuitry. Dr. Habib area of PhD was on the Electrophysiological assessment after spinal cord injury and designing stem cell therapies for spinal cord repair. His main area of interest are Neurophysiology, Neuro-diagnostics, Diabetes management and Stem cell research. He is establishing a Neurodiagnostic Research centre in Khyber Medical University. He has also working along with Dr. Omar Malik in Diabetes Care and Research Centre in Khyber Medical University. He has presented his work at National and International conferences and has 5 publications. Currently, 7 MPhil and 3 PhD students are under his supervision.
