Bi-annual Anatomy Research Day Fall 2019

Bi-annual Anatomy Research Day Fall 2019

The 8th Bi-Annual Research day of Anatomy was conducted on the 17th of September 2019 at the Anatomy lecture hall, Academic block, Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Khyber Medical University.  This activity was organized as a part of bi-annual review process of MPhil and PhD anatomy students.

The aim of this activity was to,

• Encourage students to develop an analytical and critical view of research

• Impart the importance of research to newly inducted students

• Enable networking with invited guests from other departments

These are clearly linked to the University’s strategic aim of:

• Creating a research, knowledge sharing and enhancement culture, to ensure that experience, good practice and know how are capitalised within and across faculties.

MPhil and PhD Anatomy students presented their research work while MPhil Semester-2 presented their presentations based on a critical analysis of five research papers based on recent anatomy research. This work is a part of their internal assessments and helps students develop an inquisitive mind and then guide it in developing presentable material.

The event was well attended by PhD and MPhil Anatomy students as well as by the IBMS faculty. The presenters were awarded certificate of active participation. Best presentation certificate was given to Dr. Saima Mumtaz. We are thankful to the Dean, director and faculty of for their support and valuable input.
